Pre-production
In our production of our 9 minute documentary we used the pre-production material as a target. This became very reliable and also very resourceful as it showed us an image of our overall product.  This also meant that it was a lot easier to hand our work in on time. Due to this our production run a lot smoother than planned and it also meant that we worked alongside the brief given.
We always related back to these mainly in filming making sure we captured every shot we imaged when planning. Also when editing, it became easier to piece footage together as we could relate back to the storyboard. This then became the main resource when using programmes such as premier pro. When we understood how we pieced our clips together we could then add effects to such as addictive dissolve to bring it all together.
We used our storyboards in piecing together clips and understanding and agreeing on how we want the clips to look like so it reaches all our expectations. They also reminded us of any scene that we had forgotten to shoot and the type of angle shots we needed. This also meant if a team member wasn’t able to attend any scenes that needed to be shot we were able to go and shoot ourselves.
Our contact sheets became more useful throughout the days of shooting we were able to find out where people were. This also helped with other things such as being able to contact members to save files on memory sticks hard-drives ect.
Our research we carried out was very helpful as we could be accurate about what we were talking about as it was an anxiety problem. We needed to know all the symptoms and how it effects the way in which we see anxiety. It gave us a good insight into the topic and enabled us to write a script, which was interesting to our audience and also educational. This was the main pre-production material we ended up using.
The most helpful resource was the script. This was used a number of times during filming, to keep us on target. This also made it a whole lot easier and this way the time spent filming was shortened. This also made sure that the audience was getting the right information on Anophobia.
All in all the pre-production used was very helpful and proved to be a success in filming.
